Posted by usounds at July 11, 2003 09:34 AMThe new single is amazing, I believe the Dre has grown past the prison of rap and is using his voice as an instrument blending with the beat. His production is dark and funky and paints a vivid picture in the imagination. The whole concept of the song is beautiful, and getting Rosario Dawson added that little flair that the song needed so the listener can put a face and a personality with the women dre is desribing. Ghettomusik is also a tight ass single and it just goes to show who is really the best. Outkast gets left out of a lot of conversations when people talk abotu the greatest ever individually and as a group

Posted by: billie simon on July 23, 2003 01:51 PM"sliml" is one the most incredible tracks i have ever heard. outkast are musical geniuses. i have listened to that song at least a good 200 times in two days. dre's ability to step out of the box is just wordless. their creativity is not on par with anyone in music right period and that's just not within hip-hop. the production is unbelievable from the guitars to mixing face and ugk along with the theme of the song. outkast continues to kill the monotony of hip-hop. i never wanted to comment on a song, but "sliml" changed my views.
This song is Off Glass!!!! I can't wait to by it. This song is different. It feels good to hear something unique for a change. I LOVE this song.
Posted by: Misty on July 29, 2003 05:56 AMExactly what I expected and that in itself was almost impossible. I just cant believe how easy these to make it look. Without question Outkast is the best Hip-Hop has to offer. The proof...they can do a 50 cent song, a jigga song, even an Em song, but none of the aforementioned would even attempt what Dre and Big do on a regular.
Holla!
Posted by: Mr.Marcus on July 30, 2003 10:02 PMit took me quite a while but i did it, heres the lyrics to G-H-E-T-T-O-M-U-S-I-C-K
Whoo (Whoo)
Tie me up, don’t tie me down
Cut me up, don’t let me down
Find, find a way
Find a way to get out, wit out, hit out
You dig in, dig out, you get out,
Ghettomusick, ghettomusick
Find a way to get in, to fit in the ghetto
You get out, wit out a dime
Ghettomusick, ghettomusick
Climbing out this hole
With a frown on my face
In the place to be, and not to be at the same time
G-h-e-t-t-o-m-u-s-i-c-k stay down
O-u-t-k-a-s-t just know that we won’t play round
If it don’t stank like they stank then they can’t swallow dat down
Your battleship is sunk, I wish grandma could see us
Find a way to get out, wit out, hit out
You dig in, dig out, you get out,
Ghettomusick, ghettomusick
Find a way to get in, the fit in the ghetto
You get out, wit out a dime
Ghettomusick, ghettomusick
I just want you to know, how I feel
Feeling good, feeling great
Feeling great, feeling good, how are you?
I just want you to know, how I feel
Feeling good feeling great
Feeling great, feeling good, how are you?
Hot tub add to the bony of tony
As my grandma my (….) here and she show me
How to be the smooth operator, dominator in the state of Georgia,
Hip hops there to destroy ya
Leave a mother fucker open like a foyer
He from the dirt now here come the paranoia
Although you couldn’t have jacked the disrespect
The technique, sweat meet, wipe off the sweat
Fight off the shit and bust the waste down
The pipes of my live flow deep into the ground
Why my purpose on the surface of this earth is
Plan it, standards, trust and the purpose
Campaign in vein for the same lame fame, people obtain, you aught to be detained
By the hip hop sheriff, locked up, no possibility of getting out cause the shit you make is killing me and my ears, and my peers, I hear the end is near, no fear
we disappear, then reappear again in a fresh new light, I hope its beautiful and cloudy casue if its not we gotta fight like, fight like
*chorus
BEAUTIFUL SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL NO MORE WORDS NEEDED.
ANY BODY DISAGREE ?
this track is one of the most inspiring peices of music i have heard in a while, it feels like a cross between raphael sadiq and bilal. this man is true genious i think we may have just seen the next evolutionary step in contemporary soul musiq, the fusion of hip hop, soul, funk. the revolution is upon us

They break bounds...Oh yeah, Flip Flop Rock is off the meter. Big Boi continues to evolve and assume a place beyond compare and Dre is amazing!!!!Players don't hate because Outkast has just blaze Hip-Hop boldly into the new millenium!!!!!!!

Posted by: lsumama on October 4, 2003 02:32 AMAt first, I guess I wasn't ready for it. Nevertheless, we need to really think about who's the best. I'm feeling Jay-Z, Biggie, and TuPac, but these Outkast boyz are making us all Outkast. This is truly music! I've been trying to tell my boyz that music doesn't have to always be the same thing. Thank you Outkast for breaking up the monotony. By the way, ATL is controling R&B, plus Hip-Hip. WHAT,WHAT,WHAT!!!
The tide has turned! Look out for this cat simply called MIC. down in ATL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The south is bringing it back to the roots!!!!
