Got it last night at midnight. I haven't even got to Big Boi's yet. I'm still stuck on Dre.

Posted by: Steve on September 23, 2003 05:57 AM

Dre's shit is tight. I haven't gotten a chance to listen all the way through big boi's cd either but what I have heard so far is off the hook.
Another classic!!

One thing i can say about Outkast.

In an age of radio singles and stars chosen by record company dollars. Outkast gives you a chance to be a fan of a group/artist and not just some radio single, pre-paid rotation bullshit.

Posted by: YardBird on September 23, 2003 07:30 AM

I copped Speakerboxxx/The Love Below over the weekend. It's a classic LP. I love Dré's side the most.

Cop that disc!!!!!!

these ablums are of the hook, i got em saturday and i have never been so hyped for somethin to come out like this. Andre 3000 is by far the best musician ever and Big Boi is DOIN it as well, i cant even really explain in words what they just did on this album. a whole new type of music, and now my personal favorite thing to listen to, i havent taken either cd out the cd player yet, im fuckin obsessed. this is the best shit i have ever heard. I love what they are doin, especially Andre, he is the best thing to come into music. Outkast just keeps getting better and better, THE BEST EVER.

Posted by: Stveo on September 23, 2003 12:21 PM

I just picked it up today and I am looking forward to popping that mother into my CD player.

Great cd!!! Man it's great to see some young cats like kast really put their heart and soul in it. You got 33 year old(and older) dummies who push on with the gangsta shit. This is THE album to have of 2003!!! I don't care what anybody says!!

KEEP IT GOING KAST!!!

Posted by: the crapshooter on September 23, 2003 05:03 PM

Yo if you want something to just beat the breaks off any system..home/car/portable Big Boi's CD does that and then some. If you want something to chill out and smoke a blunt to then Andre3000 has that mellow shit!!! For those who don't like it b/c it isn't that mainstream bullshit you need to open up your minds to the niggaz that put out classic album after classic album

Posted by: plyrpres on September 23, 2003 05:13 PM

is there lyrics in the album?

Posted by: kodra on September 23, 2003 05:49 PM

yes lyrics come with the cd. it is 10.99 at circuit city and best buy but both stores were sold out tonight here in nashville

Posted by: j on September 23, 2003 06:29 PM

Love the cd! If you don't have it try you best to get it and don't download it, give them some respect. This music is hard to turn off and take any one of the cd's out your cd player. It was sold out here too but luckily I got like one of the last two. I'm so happy they do their own thing and not mainstream music the money is worth it. Go and cop that shit!!!!

Posted by: Coniyak on September 23, 2003 09:53 PM

i haven't even gotten to big boi's side yet but i am in love with andre'....where my panties at? lol. it's too dope after this week maybe i'll get to the other side.

ThinkDank.com reviews Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. It's Stanky!

Posted by: Fooso Uno on September 24, 2003 07:35 AM

"atliens" was my favorite cd, now there is a new king on my outKast cd throne, "speakerboxxxx/the love below". the production is tight. the lyrics have substance and a creative energy that can only be done when they are together. the other albums were more like orange juice from concentrate, this one here is fresh squeezed. classic.

Posted by: Terhan Tinker on September 24, 2003 08:19 AM

KAST! SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS ARE THE HOTTEST YOU WILL SEE THIS NAME AGAIN.(LEXXXO) YOU GUYS ARE MY PEOPLES(OLDER GEN)FRANKIE AND MAZE, EWF,COMMADORS, COOL AND THE GANG, DELFONICS, OJAYS ETC. THE LIST GOES ON. YOU ALL HAVE MY LIFETIME FOLLOWING. FOR REAL MY KIDS WILL LISTEN TO THIS LIKE THE PAST ALBUMS. I'LL BE FOLLOWING YOU GUYS LIKE HENDRIX OR GRATEFUL DEAD LISTENER ALL THE CONCERTS. NOT STALKING!!!! BUT FEEL GOOD MUSIC. JUST LIKE BOB SAY'S ( HIT ME WITH MUSIC, BRUTALIZE ME!) WORD XO, REP-VA-DIRT SOUTH-HR(HUMAN RACE)

Posted by: LEXXXO on September 24, 2003 09:18 AM

Outkast represents hip hop at its finest, creative and different while still sticking to the roots that made them the best. While other people try to push this other garbage off on us and call it hip-hop leave it to Dre and Big-Boi to come with the funk and keep it real. Easily hip-hop album of the year.

Posted by: Dirty1 on September 24, 2003 09:22 AM

They have done it again! The dynamic duo has dropped two, count 'em, TWO fan-tabulous albums. Solo, duo, whatever, it's OUTKAST, bottom line! You may now call me 'Cupid Valentino'!

Posted by: Fishbone on September 24, 2003 09:37 AM

God Bless Outkast. They are on top and I'm not just saying that. No one, I reapeat, NO ONE can do what they do or what they have done. Outkast, you make me love hip hop today because if it wasn't for your music I'd HATE hip hop/rap for what it has turned into, FAKE SHIT, I reapeat, FAKE SHIT!! Outkast, I love your music. THANK YOU Tristan B.

Posted by: Tristan B. on September 24, 2003 10:00 AM

this shit is tight fo sho. I was concerned about dre's side but he put all worries to rest when I heard it. I thought he was going to sing the whole album but he does rap too. Big Boi's side is of course tight. It is tru music and they should win an award for group of the milineum. Keep it pumpin kast.

Posted by: malicious on September 24, 2003 10:51 AM

This album is visionary and a complete masterpiece, I think Outkast should be president of the USA and Big Boi's album is , feeling good feelin great feelin great feelin good, how are you? and of cousre andre completely lennonizes the hip hop community with his opus of great jazz and funk soul, that gives me chills in my face

Posted by: Javier on September 25, 2003 06:47 PM

I was poor but resisted the temptation to burn it and bought it today....I spent 2 and half hours straight in the open country roads listening to this album...

I have, and always will be, a huge Beatles fan...and until today, I thought The White Album and Revolver represented the greatest push in music ever. That is, until today.

This is, by far, one of the greatest albums I have ever heard. I have long contended that OutKast were the modern-day Beatles...but...DAMN...I can't put this into words.

I am completely shocked and speechless by what has been accomplished. The innovation, the music almost moved me to tears (and ask anyone, that's a tough feat). I have never heard this much concentrated ambition ever.

OutKast: You have done it. You have achieved perfection on disc. Yes, I know: everybody's saying you should have kept it together, mixed it up...but this is wonderful...WONDERFUL...music... When you talk to God again, guys, ask her to allow me to listen to other groups and your new albums especially ...because I don't think I will ever hear music like this again. I am numb. I am in shock.

God bless you OutKast!

WELL, WELL, WELL, IT SEEMS THAT SOME OF THE WORLD HAS FINALLY REALIZED, THAT WE ARE LOOKING AT THE BEST RAP GROUP EVER IN RAP/HIP HOP HISTORY AND NOW THEY HAVE STEPPED IT UP EVEN MORE. TO SAY DRE IS A GENIUS IS AN UNDERTSTATEMENT AND THE 2 TOGETHER ARE CLASSIC. I AM SO PROUD TO BE FROM THE CITY OF THESE LEGENDS. DRE, BG BOI, THERE ARE NO BIGGER FANS THAN THE FAN HERE MAN. WHETHER RAPPING ABOUT RIDING MARTA THE "86 LITHONIA HEADED TO DECATUR" OR ABOUT THE RED DOGS= RUN EVERY DRUG DEALER OUT OF GEORGIA, I LOVE YOU AND ATL LOVES YOU, FOREVER. ATL HOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's betta than cool?!!! You damn right, the Kelvinator's shoutin out Dre 3000! (calm down.) O.K., I really liked everybodies comments. It's always good to relate to others with musical taste cause I'm tired of loose change (50 cent). Outkast has pulled off a hostile takeover in the industry. The perfect album, the perfect season, the perfect combo! MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It be callin me!

I love Dre's side!!!!! At first I was like what the hell is this, but after I listened to it some more I started to like it and now I love it. I got stuck on Dre's side so I haven't got to analyze Big's side yet but I will soon. They did it again !!!!`

Posted by: B.J. on October 16, 2003 05:11 PM

Most definitely the hip-hop album of the year. No one is as original or innovative as Outkast. No one ever will be. They are on top of this rap shit. Other rappers could learn something from them.

Posted by: thedawsom on October 17, 2003 03:45 PM

I am very impressed with the new album...There is nothing else out there like it...Masterful beats and rhymes, creative concepts, new millennium music...these guys have it all...wish you all the best of luck in the years to come...stay together and keep it moving...BREAK!!!

Kanoses AKA Juicy!!

Posted by: Kanoses on October 19, 2003 10:27 PM

I've been listening to Outkast since Southernplayalistic and Aquemini will always be my favorite, but this shit is real. After Stankonia (another classic) I wasn't sure where Outkast was headed, but this was better than I ever expected. Don't ever stop bringing the reality, because it is what you make it, and I hate it when they fake it. Peace.

Posted by: skrizzykdog on October 23, 2003 02:46 PM

I have loved OutKast since the beginning....as usual, I greatly anticipated this one. When I heard Big Boi's CD, I was ultimately impressed because I think he is the best rapper POUND for POUND in the new millenium (the Speakerboxx interlude is slammin' and Tomb of the Boom is some of the best shit out here.) Then I listened to Dre's CD & I thought Dre had done gone & lost his everlastin' mind the 1st time I listened. After a couple more rotations, I am absolutely hooked!! Dre3000 is off the chain -- Keep up the good work OutKast, I love you for life.
