In a week that will see more than two dozen new releases enter the Billboard albums chart, eight of them in the top 10, Outkast were able to outwit, outplay and outsell every other artist to place at #1.

The Atlanta duo moved more than 509,000 copies of their double album, Speakerboxxx/ The Love Below, according to SoundScan, to best the closest competition, Dave Matthews' Some Devil, by 40,000 copies.

Posted by: Gerry Capo on October 3, 2003 08:10 AMThis is great. I love this CD, especially The Love Below. I hope Dre keeps working with 'Twan so we can enjoy the further growth of these two individuals. I understand Dre's ambitions but it would be a huge blow to hip hop if he turned his back on it completely.

Andre I cannot even begin to explain how your music has impacted my life. Everytime I hear a track from the year 3000 it just leaves me feinding for more. I would do anything to meet this guy. He is the most creative hip hop artist that there has ever been. I know hardcore hip hop heads did not expect all this singing and shit but really listen to the lyrics and appreciate for its musical qualities. Oh yeah hip hop is considered music nowadays because it blows every other genre out of the water. All the bad reviews about The Love Below are from people who are asleep, your still in 2003 Andre is in the year 3000 hence the name Andre 3000. Play catchup!

aye 3000 what u wearing at the grammys????
Posted by: dred3000 on October 12, 2003 01:14 PMYes, I must buy this album soon, I love it.... "The Love Below" is worth the price alone. "Speakerboxxx" is pretty good too, just not as eccentric and unpredictable as Dre's latest. "Behold a Lady" is my favorite song from the album... This is the future of hip/hop! Mainstream rappers need to take note and follow suit with the MUSIC
