Actually, it sounds like the title is up in the air, but what is for sure is that the film, starring Andre and Big Boi, will be in theatres!
UPI has this to say:
The untitled HBO Productions musical film starring Grammy Award-winning hip-hoppers OutKast has landed at Universal Pictures.
The movie, formerly called "My Life in Idlewild," was written and directed by Outkast's longtime music video collaborator, Bryan Barber, The Hollywood Reporter said.
The story is set in a 1930s Southern speakeasy and centers around the piano player played by Andre Benjamin, aka Andre 3000, and the club manager played by Andre Patton, aka Big Boi.
The cast also includes Ving Rhames, Terrence Howard, Faizon Love, Patti LaBelle, Macy Gray, Cicely Tyson and Ben Vereen.
